Fabio Onidi won the second race of Euro 3000 in Portimao.

The Italian Fisichella Motorsport International team driver finished ahead of the British Will Bratt (Emiliodevillota.com Motorsport) and of his fellow countrymen Fabrizio Crestani (Tp Formula).

This was an exciting race with a lot of duels and show, above all in the first laps when, after a few turns, Pastor Maldonado, race 1 winner, and Marco Bonanomi, went outside of the track, with the Venezuelan damaging his Lola's front wing. So Will Bratt took the lead followed by Herck and Onidi, who then took second position.

Fisichella's Italian tried to attack the leader and then managing to take the lead of the race, with Bratt very close to him throughout the race. Then Maldonado went into the pits to change the nose of his car coming back in the race in last position. The battle was also in the following positions, with Nunes hitting Gonzales damaging both cars. Fabrizio Crestani so managed to attack and overtake Herck, promoting to third. The leader Onidi did a small mistake allowing Bratt to close up to him, but didn't lose the first position. Behind the leaders, Clivio Piccione ended fifth ahead of Rodriguez.

Maldonado, instead, set the fastest lap.

In the end the drivers had good comments for the new Euroseries cars and their performance, power, speed and reliability, thus confirming the good choice of the organizers.
